Silvia was born and raised in Madrid, where she attended a bilingual school. After completing her university studies, she lived in Germany, England, and Australia, enriching her experience in multicultural environments both personally and professionally.
She graduated in Psychology from Cardenal Cisneros University (Complutense University of Madrid) and moved to Germany, where she worked at a Caritas centre for people with disabilities. During this time, she completed a Master’s in Clinical and Health Psychology (Higher Institute of Psychological Studies – ISEP), and upon finishing, registered as a General Health Psychologist with the Official College of Psychologists of Madrid. She later continued her training in London, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Child Psychology from Kingston University and worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
In 2016, Silvia moved to Australia, where she specialised in behavioural therapy for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, as well as autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She also worked with minors with a history of childhood trauma. For seven years, she collaborated with various non-governmental organisations, supporting children in foster care and individuals with multiple disabilities.
After returning to Spain in 2024, Silvia began working with adults and children through Open Psychology, supporting those navigating the challenges of living abroad. After her personal experience, she is deeply committed to providing this support, while also continuing her professional work in the field of neurodiversity. She offers individual therapy to neurotypical children and adults, as well as to those with autism and ADHD. She has also collaborated with several schools, carrying out behavioural interventions and class-specific programmes, and has worked as a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) at an international school in Madrid.
Silvia adopts a person-centred approach, regardless of age or ability level, and is committed to providing support tailored to individual needs. Her aim is to offer tools that facilitate daily life and contribute to improving each person’s quality of life.
