Lidia is a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years’ experience. She has a PhD in Psychology and is a university teacher. Lidia is of Polish origin, with bilingual training in English, and has lived in Spain for over 15 years. Her training and work approach is contextual, especially working with ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), a highly effective cognitive-behavioral therapy, with which she combines the core tools of Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Mindfulness and Compassion.
Lidia has been vice-president of the ACPCC (the Scientific Association of Behavioral and Contextual Psychology). ACPCC is the Spanish division of the ACBS (the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science).
She currently combines her private practice at Open Psychology with her teaching and research work at the European University of Madrid and she also teaches in several Masters and courses of Contextual Therapy at national and international level. As an expatriate, member of a bicultural couple and mother of multilingual children, Lidia is a therapist very close to the difficulties and challenges faced by people who do not reside in their country of origin or who are part of mixed couples and families.
Lidia has extensive experience and specialised training that provide her with great effectiveness in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addictions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, cultural adaptation difficulties, couple´s difficulties, female sexuality and the difficulties of the different stages of women’s lives (infertility treatments, traumatic childbirth, menopause, parenting and motherhood).
