Kristina was born in the Faroe Islands, Denmark. Her personal and professional journey has been shaped by close contact with different cultures and social realities, having lived in various countries and environments, including regions with limited resources. These experiences have given her a deep sensitivity toward people going through difficult times, especially those who have had to start over in a new country.
She earned her degree in Psychology from Universidad Europea de Madrid, where she also completed a Master’s in General Health Psychology and a Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Her training has focused on working with children, adolescents, and families, with special interest in emotional development, behavioral challenges, and emotional regulation in school and family contexts.
Kristina works with people of all ages from a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach. She integrates tools from third-wave therapies, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring each intervention to the person’s stage of life, developmental level, and personal style. She strongly believes in the power of active listening and the importance of feeling truly heard as a foundation for meaningful change. Her way of working adapts to each person’s specific needs, using therapeutic play, breathing techniques, psychoeducation, and practical strategies depending on the age and context. She has a special sensitivity toward identity formation, personal values, and the pursuit of purpose, and she seeks to accompany each person as they grow into the best version of themselves—with respect, warmth, and professional commitment.
